optica A quality postgraduate program is based on a solid group of researchers with concrete and defined lines of research. The INAOE personnel has received important awards like: The International Optics Commission International Prize, Mexican Optics Society Chairman and former Presidents, former President of the IEEE in Optical Engineering; respectively and some have become distinguished members of prestigious international societies.

Lines of research:

A quality postgraduate program is based on a solid group of researchers with concrete and defined lines of research. In the INAOE Optics branch we develop the following fields: Physical Optics, Photonics, Quantum Optics and Statistics, Optoelectronics, Optical Instrumentation and Metrology, Image Processing and Medical Optics.

Objectives:

  1. Train researchers who will be able to identify and solve scientific problems in the field of Optics.
  2. Contribute to solving problems in Optical Engineering.
  3. The Doctorate program’s main goal is to train independent researchers and along with the masters program, has “inter-institutional” support in order to carry this out within any of the institutes involved in the PRONAPOE Program.
